When to use Personal WhatsApp
If you have an existing phone number and want to test Flow without setting up a Meta Developer account, Flow provides a session gateway that pairs your phone via QR code.
How to pair your number
- Go to Settings → Channels → Personal WhatsApp.
- Click Pair New Device to generate a secure QR code.
- Open WhatsApp on your mobile phone, navigate to Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device.
- Scan the QR code displayed on your screen.
- Once paired, the status will turn to Connected. All incoming and outgoing chats will synchronize with your Flow inbox.
Please note: Unofficial linked-device connection, not the WhatsApp Business Platform. Use it for testing only. Automated or bulk messaging can get the number restricted by WhatsApp. For production, connect an official Cloud API number.
Session health & best practices
Keep your mobile phone connected to the internet periodically to prevent WhatsApp from logging out the linked session. For high-volume marketing or broadcasts, migrating to the official Cloud API is strongly recommended.
